Preventative dentistry is focused on maintaining optimal oral health and preventing dental issues before they arise. Services offered include regular dental cleanings to remove plaque and tartar, periodontal care to prevent gum disease, fluoride treatments to strengthen teeth and prevent decay, and custom mouthguards to protect teeth from injury, particularly during sports. Additionally, TMJ diagnoses help identify and treat jaw joint disorders, preventing pain and discomfort. These proactive measures help ensure long-term dental health and reduce the risk of serious oral health problems.

Restorative dentistry focuses on repairing and restoring damaged or missing teeth to improve both function and appearance. Services offered include dental fillings to treat cavities, crowns and bridges to restore or replace damaged teeth, and dental implants for permanent tooth replacements. Dentures are available for those with significant tooth loss, while inlays and onlays provide durable restorations for damaged teeth. Tooth extractions may also be performed when a tooth is beyond repair. These treatments work together to restore oral health, enhance smiles, and improve overall dental function.

General dentistry focuses on routine dental care, like cleanings and fillings, while preventative dentistry emphasizes measures to avoid dental issues, such as sealants, fluoride treatments, and regular checkups.
It’s generally recommended to visit the dentist every 6 months for routine checkups and cleanings to maintain good oral health and catch any potential issues early. However, if you have specific dental concerns such as gum disease, cavities, or Invisalign, it may be recommended to have more frequent visits to ensure your teeth and gums stay healthy.
To determine if dental implants are right for you, it's essential to assess your overall oral health, including bone density and any existing dental issues. Scheduling a consult will help evaluate your suitability, considering factors like lifestyle and medical history.
